Asheville Regional Airport, NC- Dale Carroll, CEO of AdvantageWest Economic Development Group, announced today the launch of www.brecnc.com and new leadership for the Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council (BREC). David Kemper of KemperStrategy will serve as Strategic Advisor of BREC, and AdvantageWest Board Member Mike Fulenwider of Fulenwider Enterprises, headquartered in Burke County, has been named Board Champion. Mr. Fulenwider and Mr. Kemper will work closely with CEO Dale Carroll and Senior Vice President Betty Huskins to execute the current BREC program throughout western North Carolina, prepare a substantial work plan for 2007, and recruit a dynamic Executive Director.
CEO Carroll also stated that announcements regarding a new direction and leadership for the Blue Ridge Angel Investors Network (BRAIN) would be made in the near future. Carroll commented, “AdvantageWest is very excited about the opportunities for growth and expansion of both the BREC and BRAIN programs. We are fortunate to have the combination of David Kemper, a highly skilled consultant with more than 20 years experience, and Mike Fulenwider, one of North Carolina’s most successful entrepreneurs, that will result in a strong BREC program.” He continued, “Thanks to a grant by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) the new BREC website is an excellent resource for all entrepreneurs.”
